Spring is in the air!

John's nearly finished making all of his giant crepe-paper flowers. But don't take my word for it!

That looks amazing! I tried doing this 10 years ago for my husband's parents' 50th anniversary party in the garden of a friend's house. I worked like a dog for days making hundreds of smallish crepe paper flowers to decorate the patio.

The day of, I arrived to install the decor and found that it was as if nothing were done! The expansive backyard of the house just visually swallowed all the flowers up until it looked as if nothing had been done.

To this day, my dear mother in law asks if she had a party for her 50th! OUCH!

I learned a huge lesson that day. Literally. I learned they should be large like John's making them! He's so much smarter than myself!

Shelley -
John says thanks for the comment. It helps justify the hot glue burns.

I don't know if it is a matter of smarts... Experience counts for something and we have certainly had our fair share of lost labor.

There is always the 60th anniversary!!

With very best wishes,
Karima
