Where Everything is Music
Don't worry about saving these songs!
And if one of our instruments breaks,
it doesn't matter.
We have fallen into the place
where everything is music.
The strumming and the flute notes
rise into the atmosphere,
and even if the whole world's harp
should burn up, there will still be
hidden instruments playing.
So the candle flickers and goes out.
We have a piece of flint, and a spark.
This singing art is sea foam.
The graceful movements come from a pearl
somewhere on the ocean floor.
Poems reach up like spindrift and the edge
of driftwood along the beach, wanting!
They derive
from a slow and powerful root
that we can't see.
Stop the words now.
Open the window in the center of your chest,
and let the spirits fly in and out.

Dearest Karima,
I am sorry for your loss and I hope you and your family are surrounded by love and friends. Simply remember the great times upon a daily basis and talk aloud for even in heaven, our loved ones hear us. Sincerely, Camille - Thee Duchess Saturday!

By the age and last name I'm assuming that it might have been a parent. I will pray for comfort for your family and joy fulled memories.
Blessings to you,
Terisa

I am so sorry for the passing of your father. I remember at Christmas time you had given him your paint set and you were going to teach him to paint. You must have had a wonderful relationship and for that you are blessed.
Blessings, Karen
I'm still painting with the dad I gave my paints to!
I've been blessed in my life to have many people to love me... and a couple of extra parents.
I laid my father Diarmid to rest today. It was a beautiful service. A piper played pibroch. My father was Scottish and believed since childhood that the pipes are the music in heaven.
Thank you for you kind wishes. They are very much appreciated.

Karima, {haven't visited in a while}
I am so very sorry for your loss and wish you and your family the best. It is wonderful that you feel such gratitude to have a loving father and a bundle of great memories of him.
Take care.
Best,

[tears] Such a wondrous poem.
And how sensitive of you to hear it as as ode to life and the process of death. Thank you for putting it here.
Belated condolences on your father's passing.
