I was honored to be one of 30 celebrated authors at the 11th annual Berkeley Public Library Foundation Authors Dinner last Saturday night. It was a wonderful evening. I was humbled to be included among real pillars of the Bay Area literary community, and to be recognized for my work as a publisher, illustrator, and author. You can read more about the star-studded event here. The yearly Authors Dinner raises funds for the BPLF, which is dedicated to supporting learning and knowledge in the Berkeley community by enhancing the library facilities, programs, and services.
Castle in the Air also contributed to the event by creating 31 centerpieces to grace the dinner tables. Each piece is a unique world within a book. Proceeds from the sale of the centerpieces benefit the BPLF. All of the works will be on display and for sale at Castle in the Air (1805 Fourth Street, Berkeley) from February 18th through March 18th.
